I'm Dario Novoa.
I live in the Bay Area, where I build tinker with stuff and build software.
I’ve been fascinated by computers since I was six years old. Back then, video games came on stacks of floppy disks, and I’d spend hours trying to tweak and understand how they worked. I was just as curious about hardware—taking apart anything electronic I could get my hands on and doing my best to put it back together.
That curiosity turned into a passion. I taught myself to program in Basic and Pascal, then C, and later, as the web began to take shape, I was hooked. I became obsessed with making things that looked good and worked well—an obsession that led me to study Graphic Design, followed by two master's degrees in Product Development, Business, and later Web Design & New Media.
Since then, I’ve built a career leading software engineering teams, scaling frontend platforms, and unifying complex multi-brand systems. I’ve championed developer experience, driven open-source efforts like Parcel at Atlassian, and helped organizations move faster by building smarter infrastructure.
Outside of work, I dive into hands-on side projects—from 3D printing and IoT experiments to custom lighting and collectible displays. I believe creativity and code feed each other—and that a good side project is often the start of something bigger.
Today, I’m focused on my journey at Innovant—where we’re building software to manage 3D printing farms, designing thoughtful tools for collectors, and creating iconic pieces people are proud to display. It’s the intersection of craft, code, and community—and I’m excited for what’s next.
